How to delete your data

Last updated: 13 September 2026

EL TOP JOHN has no accounts, so there is no "account to close": nearly everything that exists sits on your phone. Still, here is what there is and how each part is deleted.

The quick way

Uninstall the app and everything the game stores on your phone goes with it: games, player names, scores, settings, card history and the random install identifier. Nothing is left behind and there is no copy on any server.

1. What is on the phone

Deleted by uninstalling:

That includes the player names, which never left the phone in the first place.

2. What was sent

There are only two things, both carrying a random identifier that says nothing about who you are: the card reports you sent and the counters from the unlock screen. To have them deleted, write to:

eltopjohn@gmail.com — subject: Data deletion.

Since there is no account to look you up by, tell us whatever you remember so we can find it: which card you reported and roughly when, and whether it was on iPhone or Android. It is deleted within 30 days at the latest and we reply once it's done. If there is no way to tell which rows are yours, we will say so plainly rather than claim a deletion that didn't happen.

3. The purchase

The purchase record is not deleted by the above, and usually you don't want it deleted: it is what lets you get the deck back with "Restore purchase" when you change phone. It is handled by Apple or Google together with RevenueCat, tied to your store account rather than to the app.

If you want it deleted anyway, say so explicitly in the email. Be aware that you may then be unable to restore the purchase later. For a refund, go to your store (see Terms).

WhatWhere it livesHow it's deleted

What each of these is, in detail, is in the privacy policy.
